My little boy is now 21 months old!! He is a little bit of a tinker at times but mostly very good. He is learning to talk very quickly!! He loves all vehicles and can now most of them! His favourite's are cars, dumper trucks, lorries and buses. At the moment, when travelling to school he sees a crane on the way and always say "Crane!"

He loves being chased, particularly by his daddy. He also loves his three cousins: Joseph, who's nearly 4, Eowyn, who's 3 and Eloise who's 17 months old.

Soon I will post picture of him when we went to Brighton. He absolutely loved throwing pebbles in to the sea and it didn't bother him one bit that he was fully clothed!! His mummy wasn't too pleased as he had his swimming things in the buggy!!!

My favourite book

My favourite book is 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea'.

My mum used to read this book to me when I was little. In fact, I loved it so much she used to hide it as she got so fed up of reading it!

I love this book because I think it would be great if a tiger came for tea. I couldn't always believe that a Tiger would eat and drink everything!!

Also I also wondered whether the cat on the page where Sophie goes out for dinner with her mum and dad was actually the tiger who came to tea.

When I was younger I was always reading! We used to go to Hayes library but had to stop eventually as I had read all the books.

Now I mainly read when I am on holiday. Last holiday in Spain I read about 10 books in 2 weeks! Almost one a day!!!

Another favourite is Harry Potter. Currently I am reading the Game of Throne series.

What is your favourite book? Please add a comment and tell me all about it.

Half term fun

Hi all,

It would great to hear what you are doing over half term.

I am currently at Center Parcs. It's the first time I have been so looking forward to the activities. Tomorrow I will be going swimming, going on the segways and bowling.

I am with my husband, mum and dad, my twin sister Sarah and her husband, my older sister and her husband and my 18 month old nephew, Joseph.

What will you be doing?

Mrs McKeown

At Christmas time I like to spend time with my family.

This year will be my husband and my first Christmas as a married couple!

We will spending time with both sides of the family. On Christmas Eve we will go to his family and be there on Christmas morning. This will be our niece, Aowyn's first Christmas! She is going to look really cute on Christmas Day!

I will then go to my mum and dad's for Christmas dinner. My twin sister, Sarah, and her husband, Max, will be there. We will have turkey, pork, roast potatoes, stuffing, crackling, vegetables and my favourite.......sausages wrapped in bacon!!!

After dinner my older sister, Claire and her husband, Ian, will arrive with Joseph, my 16 month old nephew, Joseph. We will open the presents we have given to each other and then play some games.

This year will be the second year of the McAuliffe, McKeown, Vincent, Blain Family Quiz. We all prepare a quiz round and then there is a trophy to be won! Last year my parents won, so got to keep the trophy for the whole year!

This year all the rounds are Christmas based, I have to prepare the Charades round. I hope to win this year even though my husband will not be there! I have no team member! Christmas is my favourite time of year so I think I should do ok!

I'm looking forward to spending time with my family the most, and my mum's most amazing Christmas dinner! She never fails to disappoint!!!

I look forward to hearing about what your plans are for Christmas!

Flying saucer reward

Hi Dickens Class,

As you are all only 2 flying saucers away from a full jar it's time to start thinking about what you might like to do as a reward for all your hard work.

Here are some suggestions:

  • Extra golden time
  • Visit to the park
  • Film afternoon with popcorn
  • Cooking afternoon
  • Arts and crafts afternoon
  • Extra playtime

Please post your vote or other suggestions on this blog by adding a comment.

Have a good evening.
